TEAM HISTORY

 

Over the past few years the players and coaches of the Agnes Scott Softball Program have been working tirelessly to build the program into the competitive program it is today. We have now had the only three winning seasons in the history of Agnes Scott. The team became 2014 Regular Season Champions and Tournament Champions, with a NCAA Division III Regional Appearance. In 2015, the team again took the regular season championship, but fell short to a 2nd place finish at the tournament. In the last four years, Agnes Scott has had 23 GSAC All-Conference selections, 8 GSAC All-Freshman Team selections, 21 GSAC Player/Pitcher of the Week Recipients, 1 GSAC Freshman of the Year, 1 GSAC Pitcher of the Year, 8 GSAC All-Academic selections, 1 CoSIDA All District and 1 CoSIDA All-American. GSAC 8 All-Academic selections. 

 

              Close attention is being paid to teaching life skills and assisting in the players’ personal growth through athletics, which will help enable our student-athletes to succeed “down the road.” The ASC Softball Program coaching philosophy approaches teamwork and ethics with an eye toward not just softball, but LIFE! We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such a high quality group of student-athletes here at Agnes Scott College.
